Considerations - Utility Knives

Ed Calderon of edsmanifesto.com has often promoted carrying simple, accessible, throw away knives, specifically in restrictive or non-permissive environments.

I would also strongly consider these utility knives from Gerber Gear. Gerber’s moniker for them is, “EAB.” Into clue what that stands for. However, they are relatively inexpensive, today priced at $18.00. These little knives have a stainless steel body, liner lock, and pocket clip on the opposite side. The blades are easily interchangeable. Personally, I think they are great for travel. Remove the blade, throw it in your luggage before a flight. Upon reaching your destination, visit a local hardware store, buy some blades and it’s back in action. The knives are extremely light weight, at 2.2oz. And, they have a very slim profile. They are very easy to conceal and hide on your person.

I hardly like anything that Gerber puts out, but I think they really knocked it out of the park for keeping it simple stupid.

Stay tuned for more considerations.
